Interview

  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
I love my curiosity. I know a little about a lot of things because I'm curious. I listen to podcasts, watch documentaries and have not only gone down the rabbit hole--I dug another rabbit hole beneath that one. So, I have things in the bedroom I want to experience that I am curious about. But I also have a lot of the world to be curious about too--including visiting the 7th and final continent in 2021.
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
I am kind and I am generous. I will be the first person to rush into a burning building to help someone. I am also generous when it's on my terms only. (Big no no is to ask me for money.) For instance, during the Covid-19 pandemic, I have donated an entire paycheck to various charities and Go Fund Me pages for the service industry, food pantries and such. Without giving away my day job salary, let's just I tithed my 6 figure salary. I firmly believe if you can help, you should help.
  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
Best experience!? Wow, life is about experiences both good and bad. The good ones we replay in our mind's eye to remember how good things can be. And the bad ones are necessary to appreciate the good ones. Hard to describe the day without the night.

I think some of my favorite moments are: seeing Macchu Picchu for the first time. Achieving my first degree black belt. And when I have a bf to cuddle with on a weekend morning where neither of us want to get out of bed or even put a stitch of clothes on. But the very best moment was walking down Waipu Cove beach in New Zealand wearing only a skimpy swimsuit and not a person in sight!
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
Just recovered from my first injury EVER! Do you know how you get a hyper-extended left knee and a cracked rib? Play wrestling at my own BBQ with a twink half my age. I'm pretty sure I lost after he accidentally tossed me down a flight of stairs off my back porch! But I'm built tough. If I can get thrown of a hood of a car into 3 lanes of traffic and be OK, this cat still has 7 lives yet.

So I just restarted my fitness regime. My favorite thing is getting up at 6am to run along the lakeshore path in Chicago. I run from my place to the end of the pier by the gay beach. Chicago is peaceful at that time. There are very few people out at that time. So it's just me, my tunes, the sun rise and a pair of short runner's shorts on!
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I'm kind. I believe if we can help someone, we should help someone. The recent pandemic is a good example. I have donated at least a paycheck from my day job to help those who lost their jobs. I ran PPE to a friend in Boston and now will run some to a family member in San Francisco soon.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
Even though I may have lost out on some of the craziness of being in my 20s, I am glad that I focused on my career in my 20s and 30s so that I can be comfortable and help others. I left my mark in the business world. I have nothing left to prove there. Now as I leave corporate America, the next adventure awaits.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
My niche is helping guys experiencing a first time feel very comfortable. We all have to start somewhere. And we should experience everything we can. So for those who like to experiment, let's do it.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I travel a lot. My next project will be in Europe. I will be in 8 countries for the next year and a half. I love traveling by any means from business class to hiking the Inca Trail to riding a camel.
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
Swimming laps/running along lake shore, skimpy underwear, the beach, tan lines and diet pepsi
